Pre Surgery
Before the surgery you will have a consultation with your surgeon at Transform who will guide you through the procedure, after effects and risks involved. The surgeon along with your input will recommend the most suitable option for you. The surgeon will also ensure you are not prone to keloids etc. and may also advise you to stop certain medication 2 weeks before surgery.
On the day of the surgery
At Transform thighplasty is performed under general anesthesia so the patient will have to stay over night at the hospital/clinic. During the procedure an incision is made along the inner thigh and the excess fat is removed. The area where the incision is made is then pulled together and stitched. This surgery can take up to 3 hours.
Post surgery
There will be some pain and swelling for 2-3 days. If the stitches are not dissolvable they will have to be removed after 10 days. Bathing is not recommended for at least 3 days. Light work activities should be avoided for 2-3 weeks. The bruising could take up to 6 months to disappear.
