Nipple Correction

Pre Surgery

Before the surgery you will have a consultation with your surgeon at Transform who will guide you through the procedure, after effects and risks involved They will help you in deciding if and which procedure is to be done and the outcome of it. Your surgeon may also advise you to stop certain medication 2 weeks before surgery.

On the day of the surgery

The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, so the patient can leave on the same day once the surgery is completed. In case of general anesthesia the patient will be required to spend a day at the hospital. In some cases, depending on the discussion with the surgeon and type of correction, some part of the milk duct may be cut. For inverted nipples, stitches are placed to hold the nipple until it heals. The surgery would take about 30 minutes to complete.

Post surgery

Patients can usually go home on the same day and are advised to avoid any strenuous work for a week, however you can go back to work and light work activities within a couple of days.
