Pre surgery
Before the surgery you will have a consultation with your surgeon at Transform who will guide you through the procedure, after effects and risks involved. The surgeon along with your input will recommend the most suitable option for you. Your surgeon may also advise you to stop certain medication 2 weeks before surgery.
On the day of the surgery
At Transform this procedure is normally done under general anesthesia so you may have to stay one night at the hospital after the procedure is completed. During this procedure the stretched muscle behind the vagina is pulled together and joined while excess skin is removed. There will be an immediate noticeable difference where the vagina has become much smaller and tighter. This surgery can take up to and hour and a half to complete.
Post Surgery
There will be swelling after surgery. One week is enough to recover however sexual activity should be avoided for 6 weeks. There will be scarring inside the vagina. Attention to hygiene is also crucial.
