Pre Surgery
Before the surgery you will have a consultation with your surgeon at Transform who will guide you through the procedure, after effects and risks involved. The surgeon along with your input will recommend the most suitable option for you. Depending on what kind of look you want to achieve your surgeon will pick out the best option for you. Your surgeon may also advise you to stop certain medication 2 weeks before surgery.
On the day of the Surgery
Normally hair is taken from the sides or the back where the hair growth is more and the hair follicles are then moved to the balding areas. The surgeon uses fine needles to place the hair in the right spots. Hair transplantation can take up to 6 hours to complete. Once the process is completed it can take up to 3 months to start growing and eventually the hair growth will be as normal as the rest of the hair.
Post Surgery
During the first 10 days there will be more hair loss but eventually after 3 months the hair growth will begin. Shampooing should be avoided for 2 days and the patient should also avoid the sun.
