Pre surgery
Before the surgery you will have a consultation with your surgeon at Transform who will guide you through the procedure, after effects and risks involved. The surgeon along with your input will recommend the most suitable method for you. Your surgeon may also advise you to stop certain medication 2 weeks before surgery. You will have to undergo a series of tests to understand the cause. In case there is a condition, then you will be put on medication and that alone may be enough to improve the condition.
On the day of the surgery
The surgery will be done either under local or general anesthesia and can take up to an hour to complete. The surgeon removes the excess fat using liposuction and in some cases excess skin is also removed.
Post Surgery
Immediately after the procedure there will be pain, swelling and bruising for a few days. However it will start to subside after a week. If the stitches are not dissolvable they will have to be removed after a week. The patient can go back to regular work after 6 weeks but the results of the surgery will be noticed only after 6-9 months.
